...My Sister's Birthday...

...I for sure didn't want to post about this until I was certain that my sweet sissie had opened her pressie...
...I gathered some rainbow-ish colours of soft cotton yarn...and cast on 58 stitches...for some bikinisocken...they are so cute...and I thought they'd be perfect for my beachcombing sissie...
...obviously a multicoloured single stranded yarn would be better...you wouldn't have all those ends to weave in...
...still it's a very small project so it didn't take too long...
...I modified the pattern a bit by adding a few rows of ribbing at the top (toe end)...for a little bit snugger fit...
...they turned out so cute...I made another one...
...then I gathered up some other goodies...the ginger candies and candied ginger are from the SDA store...and are actually a gift from Mom...I had them because we thought I'd see Karen before Mom would...but then she left on her boat...and I didn't see her for months...the shirt is a vendor gift from an IT fair...I got it specifically for Karen because I thought their slogan was cute...a bottle of greens seasoning and a pair of flip flops complete the little giftie...
...and then I used the dishtowel to wrap it all up...

Happy Birthday to my Sissie!...

~Have a lovely day!
