....it was another busy weekend...
...they came and cut down the tree that blew over in the storm...
...it was massive...and a lot of work...and a lot of firewood...
...I did the weekly vegan shopping...of course...
...and popped that squash in the oven right away...(along with the seeds of course)...they've been so good this year...
...and I had two small containers of leftover mashed potatoes in the fridge...so I got those out and chopped up some rather wilty green onions...
...and made us some delicious potato pancakes...
...then in the early evening...we went over to the fellowship hall for the annual Fish Fry...I took vegan fish of course...
...there was a good turnout...for what was probably a busy weekend for everyone...
...we also picked up this jar of muscadine jelly at the fish fry...
...so beautiful and delicious...
...then we went to a Halloween Party...
...and that was a lot of spooky fun...
...and after Church on Sunday...I organized a couple of drawers...socks, camis, tights, bras, and undies in this one...
...swimmies and jammies in this one...
...I have two drawers of shorts and tees that I still need to go through...I usually switch them out with long sleeved tees and sweats for the winter...
...I do love an organized drawer...don't you?...
...I think that's about all I accomplished this weekend...how about you?...

That tree is amazingly huge!! That would make a beautiful tabletop, wouldn't it? I'm getting things packed up for our departure in the next few weeks. I've about got the "cupboard bare". I'm going to turn off the fridge this time, so everything must go. All those bottles of condiments in the door will be tossed.

What is muscadine, it looks a lovely colour?
ReplyDeleteHi Maureen,
DeleteYou're right...it's such a jewel of a jelly...and the flavor is just a little bit different from a grape...
