...we saw the pink moon...
...but this weekend was all about the garden...
...so we got the tiller out and tilled up the area where we had pulled up all the collards...
...it looks so pretty...
...so we planted our seeds and seedlings...left to right...another little Rutger tomato...a couple of sweet peppers...a couple of the Man's Fish Peppers (so named because they are often served with fish...not because they taste or look like fish)...a crookneck squash...a sqaure foot of bush beans...a couple of sunflowers right at the post and a row of giant marigolds along the driveway...and then all along the fence is a row of the Rattlesnake beans that I'd saved from last year...it will be easy to string them up there...
...and then at each post along the long fence...we tilled up a hill for zucchini, pumpkin, Hubbard, and cucumber...and a row of okra and black eyed peas all along the fence as well...
...we moved our patio tomatoes to larger pots...
...the parsley and chives survived the winter in a big pot...
...and we planted the cilantro, oregano, and basil in the ground as they didn't really do well in pots last year...
...then it was time to replace the poor gardenia that did not survive the winter...
...we got these two nice healthy ones...
...because we also need to replace the one on the right side as well...you know...so they match...haha...
...the lillies all look healthy...
...and the little cherry tree is blooming...
...as are the pretty pink roses...
...and these are the two tomatoes that the grandbabes planted...
...they're Rutgers (my favorite kind)...and they'll eventually need to be staked or have a basket around them...
...and I was so happy that this purple coneflower survived the winter...
...after all that work...we cleaned up and went shopping...
...not a lot...and just normal stuff...
~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!
