...Kabobs...and a movie...

...since we've been having absolutely gorgeous fall weather...
...we decided to spend some time outside and grill out before our Friday Night/Family Night Dinner and a Movie...
...we gathered up a whole bunch of veggies...and got them all chopped and skewered...
...and then we decided to grill a pineapple for dessert...
...so we cut off the ends...
...cut it in half lengthwise...
...and in half again...or quartered...
...then cut off the triangle of the pithy middle...
...and then we thought those chunks were still too big to grill...so we cut them in half...
...and trimmed off the prickly skin...
...and carefully skewered those as well...

...I was going to take some photos of the grill...but it got dark on us...WHA???...dark already at 7:30ish...what's up with that...oh right...it IS fall...but I'm still kinda surprised by it...
...and oh man...was it a delicious supper...
...what have you grilled lately?..

...oh...and for the movie...it was my turn...and it didn't involve subtitles (for once)...

...we watched Waffle Street...a sweet true story about a hedge fund VP who has a crise de conscience about the ethics of what he is doing...loses his job...and becomes a waiter...

...what movie can you recommend?..

~Have a lovely day!

  1. Your food look wonderful bu I haven't grilled lately...just got the propane tank refilled and need to move grill back onto porch...I do not want to grill in sleet and snow!

  2. Not great grillers or barbecuers but it does look good! Not the biggest film watcher, the last we watched was Bridge of Spies. Have you seen Wolf Hall, one of the best things to come out of the BBC for years.

  4. Looks yummy. What is the mushy looking (pureed stuff). Is it hummus? I love hummous. I love pineapple and grilled veggies too. I haven't grilled anything for long but the last time I did it was steaks ;-)
