...12.26...Alaska...Day ONE...

......we had spent a few hours in an airport hotel last night...er...this morning...haha...

...we picked up our rental car...and headed up the icy highway...we had to get our 'snow legs' under us as they used to say in North Dakota...

...it was all so beautiful...the photos don't do it justice...

...then we checked into our adorable AirBnb tiny cabin...

...then to the kiddos driveway...so pretty...

...their cute Christmas-y house...

...it was Christmas and everyone worked to pull together the Chrismtas dinner...Big Sissie had my phone and called for Grandmommy...and snapped this photo...

...Dog is super excited for her dinner too...

...she has a special dish to keep her from gobbling it up too fast...

...Christmas dinner served on the trays Our Airman got at the thrift store when they were here in April...it was all so delicious and so much fun together...

...both girls wore their Christmas vests...

...they fit them well...and they're so cute...

...at the peak of their daylight...we bundled up and went out to play for a bit...it was -37° F (-38° C)...

...the snow was deep...

...we made snow angels...

...it was a lot of fun...but at these temperatures you can't stay out too long...
