...the Hosta pillow front is complete...
...this is the back...I'm definitely using the front side though...
...draped over the black pillow...it's just about the perfect size...you want a little bit of negative ease in a pillow...and the little bit of black showing through the spaces doesn't bother me...
...it would probably be nicer if I had another piece of the burgundy cotton to also cover the black front...
...but I'll have enough of this fat quarter leftover to cover the piping for the edge...
...so I made a sandwich with the pillow top...the piping...and the burgundy back (which will cover the print side of the pillow...
...I pinned it really well...and stitched it really slowly to make sure I caught all the layers and nothing slipped...
...and I'm so very happy with how it turned out...
...I maybe could have used a thicker cording in the piping...but it still has a nice small definited edge...
...I LOVE it...
