...in case you were wondering about the ballerina birthday present...it was very well received...
...and since it's now May...it's time to get a little "May" package off to the girls in Alaska...they need a little pressie from Grandmommy just about once a month...haha...
...and after their Shamrock headbands in March...they wanted "pink and peach rainbow flower headbands"...and I'm happy to oblige...
...this yarn is some 'baby' variegated yarn from stash...and it's so fine that I wanted it to be double thickness...so I plied it by matching up the variegation on two strands...definitely NOT as easy as it sounds...haha...
...I actually had to buy the peach coloured yarn as I didn't have any in stash...but I just chained two strands with the rainbow and two with the solid colours for each headband and attached it to a bit of elastic for a comfortable fit and then single crocheted over the band...
...the rainbow variegated yarn turned out quite pretty with a nice separation of colours...
...so then I made 6 little 5-petal flowers...two for each headband in the rainbow and one of each colour...with yellow centers...
...and arranged them on top of each headband...
...and attached them just slightly off-center...
...I'll get those in the mail this week...
...what's in your workbasket?
~Have a lovely day!
