...back at Goodwill again...
...I found this spotless duvet for $3...it's 100% cotton...and nice and thick...and I immediately just thought of it as fabric for Lutheran World Relief quilts...
...but when I was inspecting it I found that it was actually king size...so I thought that I could make a couple of sheets for our bed...
...I took out the seams...
...gathered the corners onto some elastic to make a fitted bottom sheet...
...and then just removed the ties and buttons from the top to make a flat top sheet...
...so for $3 we have a new set of comfy cotton sheets...

You did a great job! That was an excellent price for the duvet cover.
ReplyDeleteI bought a very thick cotton 'folksy' quilt cover that I have made into covers for the decaying seats of our elderly camper van. £4 from a charity shop. Two cushion covers as well! Good value all round.
