...10.7...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...I finished knitting the bicycle seat cover...
...it fits the pattern pretty well...
...still looks rather huge though...
...luckily...my seat pops right off...so I brought it inside to stitch on the new cover...and I turned it upside down and position the seat cover on it...
...I took just a few large criss-cross stitches just to get it in position...
...and then I snugly stitched it all up...
...I don't think I needed the extra width that I added to the pattern...
...but it's plenty snug and all of the stitches are on the underside...
...I'm really pretty happy with how it turned out...
...we'll have to see how it holds up to daily wear...
...but it's pretty cute...
...and it looks adorable on my old red bike...
...CA-Ute...

...what's in your workbasket?...

~Have a lovely day!

  2. I like the colours of your bike cover and will be curious to see how it holds up to use. I'm afraid I've done nothing much in terms of making things. I made a few dish cloths for gifts about 2 months ago and decided to make a few more this past week. I've been at this minor knitting for a long awhile now and I don't think I'll get much better at it unless I can get my tension corrected.

  3. Brilliant! I should do the same, and pad it!

...oh...that's brilliant...I should have thought to add some extra padding...

  4. nice bike seat cover! I'm working on finishing a sweater that my sister started and a baby blanket for my nephew's baby-to-be.
