...2.18...Friday Update...

...on the Read Harder front...I'm flying through this challenge...haha...not really...I've just finished my 4th book...You should See me in a Crown...which I chose from the list the Read Harder folks sent for people like me who can't come up with a book that fits the criteria...so I'm thankful for that...this was a super easy and quick read...it's basically a teenage romance novel with a couple of twists...the main character is African American in a mostly white school who runs for Prom Queen...oh...and she's also gay...it was really...really predictable...but still it was a different perspective...and definitely not my 'normal' book choice...I was chatting with Mom and she's added it to her queue...along with Hamnet...next up is That Way Madness Lies...I think I googled the #5 - read an anthology featuring diverse voices to find that one...it's an anthology that contains 15 retellings of some of Shakespeare's works...so it should be fun to read as well...and luckily my local library has it as well...
...my Valentine's Day flowers are opening up to be quite gorgeous...
...that doesn't always happen...I've had them just droop and die more than once...they actually smell good too...
...now on the puzzle front...I can't walk by it without at least placing one piece...I LOVE it!
...of course...we started with the brightest birds...as their pieces are the easiest to pick out...
...but now we'll have to do the towhees and chickadees...and all that green and brown...
...and I got a little package of goodies from Amazon...some vegan lactic acid for my cheeze making...and some plant based food colours...and the caramel sweeteners I had ordered for the road trip with Amy...so we could stop and get coffee...but they didn't arrive in time...oh well...

~Wishing you a lovely weekend!

    1. Hey K,
...yeah...these ones are good...a few times in ND when he ordered these flowers they arrived 'frozen'...so they never opened...haha...

  2. Four books is nothing to sneeze at, great job! I'm only getting reading done in small chunks at night these days, but such is life! Your bird puzzle is coming along nicely too, will you keep it together and frame it when it's done, or will it get jumbled up and go back in the box?

    Have a great Sunday! :)

  3. I'm sure glad you're enjoying your puzzle--and your reading. We finished a very fun puzzle yesterday. Matt actually helped quite a bit on this one. We've never tried using lactic acid in our cheez. Cool. It is such a good time to be a vegan!

    1. Hi Beth,
...I definitely agree about the vegan options...even just ten years ago...most vegan cheeze was pretty horrible...
