...2.9...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...instead of another dishcloth...I'm using another Purl Soho pattern to make another washcloth...
...it's the soft cotton washcloth pattern...that I've made before...and I'm using a couple of little scraps of yarn...a variegated cotton and the leftover white from the other washcloth that I made...since there's white in the variegated yarn...I thought it'd be a good way to use up that little bit of white...but on the bumpy side it looks kind of wonky because I have to carry it up over the rows of variegated...but it's just a washcloth...so I'm not too bothered...
...and then I just snapped this photo on my phone to send to Mom while I was chatting with her the other day...because she had given me a bunch of yarn...years ago now...and this was still in my stash...Kitten looks angry I know...but she's actually purring here...haha....
...so I've started a little (and I do mean fiddly and little) Easter project for my girlies...so again...I can't show you much of that yet...and I'm thinking this boucle yarn may not have been the best choice...working-wise...but I think it will produce a really cute result...
...and then I really do love the internet...you can find almost anything...haha...

...when I was in high school (also elementary school and jr. high - mites and midgets)...I was a cheerleader...and we had these adorable little uniforms...with this cute navy and white pleated skirt...and a flash of red bloomer underneath...with a white sweater and saddle oxfords...pretty much exactly like the one front and center...just navy instead of red...it was a lot of fun...and this is the pattern that the skirt was made from...

...anywhoo...I was chatting with Mom the other day and I remembered that she had taken all of our measurements...in the hallway of 'W' building right after practice one day...for the seamstress to make the little skirts...and so I asked her if she still had the pattern...and of course she did not...Mom doesn't keep nearly the 'stash' that I do...haha...
...but a quick search of the interwebs produced the pattern...HA!
...I'm going to make that same skirt again...View 3...but just in white...I have a good friend who plays tennis...and there's a really nice tennis court at the Church...maybe I'll knit a tennis sweater too...

...what's in your workbasket this week?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. Too cool that you found the pattern for the cheering outfit. Wasn't one of your school photos in that blue/white dress? Love, K

  2. how nice to find the pattern, the internet is simply the best when searching for specific things. Can't wait to see your skirt and a possible top!
