...1.10...Japan...day TEN...

...I found Bobos at the conbini...so I had a peanut butter one for breakfast...
...and I used the fancy rice cooker...after I looked up it's operation on the internet...haha...
...to make a big batch of rice...
...then I went back to the sea wall for a morning run...
...I was surprised when the bricks changed colours...and wondered if there is some significance...
...it was a gorgeous morning...
...and I ran a lot further this time...(jogged)...
...and guess what...the brick colour changed again...so I'm thinking there is some reason for it...
...there are lots of scuba schools here...Our Airman even got certified...and we saw several divers...
...and so far...this is the only bird I'm going to get to add to my journal...it's a Pacific Reef Heron...so I'm kind of thrilled about that...
...we did a little exploring...just walking around our neighborhood...it's a beautiful place...and everyone makes sure their yards are nice...small but nice...
...and we spied this directional sign...and apparently the caves were about 90 meters away...so worth the walk...of course...
...it was easy to find...but sadly it was locked...so all of these photos are just through the fence...
...the sign for the memorial ossuary...that's like a temple where they put the ancient human remains...
...the other side of the sign...
...and it's translation...loving the app that translates for us...
...some photos inside the caves...the Man said DO NOT DROP THAT PHONE...haha...
...I didn't...
...it would have been cool to go down...
...though a little bit spooky...
...and it looks like the caves extend back under the stairs...
...also looks like it might be lit up at night...so maybe we'll come back then...
...we took the babes back to the beach...they're probably not too interested in caves...especially ones you can't actually enter...
...and it took a while to get down to the water...because they wanted to stop and play as soon as their feet hit the sand...haha...
...but the water lured them over...
...so we rolled up pants...
...and waded in...Mom had brought more clothes...
...because...of course these are going to get wet...
...Big Sissie wandered out onto the algae covered rocks...and said 'so slippy'...I love her Be Kind shirt...
...the sand here was great...
...back at the AirBnb...and clean clothes...
...the tatami room is a great place to play...
...and futon poufs are a lot of fun too...
...lots...
...and lots of jumping...
...finally tired?...NOT!...

~Have a lovely day!
