...2.20...Over the weekend...

...it was the Saturday for the Community Breakfast at the Church...so I got a late start for the grocery shopping...and I made myself a bottle of tea to take along...
...mostly I just got veg...a lot of the root vegetables were on sale...
...I got some gorgeous sweet potatoes...regular orange ones...
...turnips...
...and beets...for some reason the organic ones were cheaper than the non-organic ones...
...and a bag of Brussels sprouts...I love these little baby cabbages...that's what Our Airman used to call them...he loves them too...

...and then I did a little bit of food prep..
...I made a batch of the lowfat cream cheese from The Uncheese Cookbook
...just blended it up...the only thing I changed about the recipe was to add 1/4 teaspoon of vegan lactic acid...
...and since the recipe only uses 1/3 cup of the silken tofu...I turned the rest of the package into my favorite chocolate pudding...just tofu...sugar and cocoa...
...and then I Griddler-ed some sweet potato and broccoli...I just love having it on hand...
...then I got busy on some spring cleaning...really it's more just spring organizing...not really cleaning...but I do need to do that too...
...I just took some paper grocery bags...and doubled them and then turned the tops down to make these sturdy little containers to keep things in my drawers a little more organized...
...neat rows of T-shirts...I know I have way too many T-shirts...but I pretty much wear one every day...
...all my shorts...the weather is very spring like right now...
...and I wound up with some extra room in that drawer...so I added all of my swimsuits too...
...everything is so neat and compact now...I have a whole extra empty drawer...
...I also re-organized my crocheted tub of winter clothes...it's still sitting in the floor of my closet...but I'm not sure how many more of these heavy sweaters I'll wear this year...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. That grocery bag idea is a good one! Glad it's springtime there...watch out, it fools you sometimes!!! (Always springtime weather over the winters here of course!) Love, K
