We finished the Nativity Stable - and we love-love-love it - it turned out perfectly...
We painted it with watercolors - the Man-Cub thought the cracks made it look more realistic - and the whole thing got a coating of satin finish polyurethane...
...and we added a backing of posterboard - the little stick is a dowel rod for the Angel - and the folded flap of cardboard is a sort of easel stand - like on the back of a picture - it folds out to provide some more support....
Normally - Baby Jesus doesn't come out until Christmas and the Three Kings don't come until Epiphany (January 6th) - but they're here early for the picture...

Nice stable, looks just right. E
ReplyDeleteYep - we're tickled with it - we spent the day at the sledding hill - no pictures 'though - and I had to work this morning - so we didn't get all of our playing in...
ReplyDeleteNow - it's time for a big cup of hot cocoa (soy of course)...
Love,
