Scout had his final Band Concert of the year...that's him in the red and white striped shirt - going back to his chair after getting his award - I wasn't quite quick enough with the camera - but I got it all on video of course...

...Once again, he won the award for Outstanding Trumpet...
...Sadly, his teacher is moving away - so we'll have to wait and see what Band will bring next year...
As you know, I love children's choirs, orchestras and bands - in fact anything they do. Such a short snippet of music - but enjoyable nonetheless!
ReplyDeleteBand and instruments, such a great thing for children!! Congrats to him on his award! I used to play the clarinet!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to your son! That is awesome that he's playing an instrument. How did he get started?

Thanks Angela,
ReplyDeleteHe started playing last year and asked for a trumpet - so his Papa did a bunch of research and found an old King trumpet from like 1970 or something - he loves it...we do too...
Affectioknit-ly,
Teresa
Congratulations Scout! My younger sister played the trumpet :0)
