...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...I picked this yarn out of the bin at our Prayer Shawl Group at Church...it's just a pretty mauve in Red Heart...there's lots of Red Heart in the bin...

...then I got to thinking about what to make with it...I wanted to include a simple design in the shawl...you may remember the Peace Prayer Shawl I knit a couple of years ago...

...so, I added a simple openwork cross in the center...worked into the shawl vertically...centering a pattern vertically is kinda tricky when you have a limited amount of yarn...but I think it's going to work out all right...

...there was also a pretty fuzzy yarn in the bin that matched the Red Heart pretty well...so that will be the border...

...and the book was a Birthday present from the Man that I'm just now getting around to reading...I love reading Flannery O'Connor...and I really like this book...

...I'm planning to write up a pattern for the shawl (soon)...and I'll post it when I do...

~Have a lovely day!

  4. That's beautiful, Teresa. I'm working on a prayer shawl now too, for my mom. Just the old k3/p3 original pattern from the ministry, but I think she'll love it. I'm looking forward to trying your pattern, it really is lovely.
    Peace,
    ~Michelle
