...Thrifty Thursday and more snow...

...first up...we've had a bit more snow...
...just a dusting really...and sadly (I guess - for they've missed so much school already)...no snow day for Scout...
...but...you all know my modus operandi at the Goodwill store by now...

...I go to drop something off...and wind up with something else...sort of in exchange...

...to my credit...it has so far always been smaller than what I left...HA!
...and this time it was these two pieces of glass...for $1.00...not each...both...
...extremely difficult to photograph though...
...I just loved this little unusual oblong dish...
...I tossed some peppermints into it for now...but I think I'll also use it to serve peas or something...what do you think it's for?...

...I did a quick search and found that it is called a 'Vintage Anchor Hocking Star of David Gondola Dish'...and it was traditionally used for pickles, relishes and banana splits...what fun!
...and the little glass pitcher will be perfect for serving my favorite Sweet Mustard Dressing...

...what have you thrifted lately?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. Pretty! Yesterday I was at Goodwill and spotted a mug by a regional potter, quite a score for $1.50.

  2. What a great find, both are not only pretty but useful.

Interesting you have more snow as we have more rain and windy weather. The whole country is waterlogged.

  4. I have a similar pitcher that is taller and narrower, probably a cream pitcher.
The dish is exactly like 2 that we got from Frank's mom. She used them for banana splits.
    I like anything glass. MOM
