I am knitting a turquoise cardigan in 4 ply bamboo. What a lovely gift of yarn, knows you well. I was reading about 'spiral' socks. They were popular in the war as they did not wear as quickly as 'heeled' socks. Wool was rationed and every tiny piece was treasured.

In my workbasket is a puff flower blanket. It'a a long project that I might abandon a few days for something "lighter".
