...y'all have probably heard by now that Hurricane Florence is headed to North Carolina...
...and being the good scouts that we are...trying to be as prepared as we can...
...we gathered drinking water, lanterns, batteries, flashlights, radio, candles, and matches...
...we filled up all of our water jugs...and filled the cooler with ice...
...we washed out the steps and drain right outside the basement doors and made sure that the drain was working properly...then we pulled the grill down there so it wouldn't blow away...
...and we moved the plants off the back porch...
...we also stocked up on sandwich foods and bread...and we have plenty of canned food and food in the freezer as well...for if we still have power...
...we charged up computers, tablets, and cel phones...plugged up our old dial-y phone in case the power goes out none of our portables will work...and wrote the phone number to call in power outages on the fridge...
...we also gathered rain gear for everyone...and set up cots in the basement in case we decide to sleep down there...
...and filled up all the gas cans for the generator...got the generator out and ready to be plugged in if needed...
...hoping everyone in the path of the hurricane is ready and safe...
~Have a lovely day!

You are well prepared. It is good to have a lower level in the house. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Penny...we made it through safely...

I like to keep a month's supply of food in the house in case of illness or bad winter weather - nothing like this, very impressive.
