...New Mexico Visit...Day FIVE...

...started the day with some green tea that someone left in the cupboard...it was yummy...
...we spent some time just playing...today is our last day with the kiddos...
...the coffee table in this house is like a big metal drum...and the Airman's Baby had so much fun banging on it...
...and she loved playing with Jack...and following him around whenever he moved...she was just so naturally gentle with him...
...we didn't really want to do much except visit on this our last day together...but Our Airman wanted to show us something on Historic Route 66...
...so we were so surprised to hear this Musical Highway...the rumble strips have been engineered to sound like the song “America the Beautiful”...it was such a neat experience...
...when we pulled into the driveway...I yelled "Stop"...and jumped out of the truck camera in hand...
...because I'd been trying to get a photo of this guy all week...
...finally captured this neighborhood roadrunner on film...they are really really fast...haha...bee-beep...
...and also...for our final meal together...we didn't want to make a big mess in the kitchen...so Our Airman asked his friends what was the one place we shouldn't leave Albuquerque without trying...and they said Cheba Hut...a Toasted Sub shop...and you know that was fine with me...I love subs...and I haven't had one in MONTHS...
...I chose the Power Plant...and it was delicious...
...after dinner...we took one last stroll around the neighborhood...
...there is this interesting stream running through the neighborhood...it looks more like an irrigation ditch...
...one final gorgeous sunset...
...and then bath, bottle and bed...

~Have a lovely day!
