...6.14...Over the Weekend...

...they've finished cutting down the big trees in our backyard and hawling away all the wood...
...it was so very much work...
...and about 20 minutes before Mom came...they got the fence back in place...so now we can let Jack out again by himself...so happy about that...the bent piece of fence is from a storm in 2018...
...Mom needed to leave fairly early in the morning to make it to her Great Granddaughter's Birthday party...so we decided to have muffins for a quick and easy breakfast...this is the recipe on a box of bran flakes...the only change was to use EnerG egg replacer for the one egg...
...so I mixed up the wet and dry ingredients and crushed some bran flakes...
...and greased the muffin tin with Earth Balance...I so much prefer a nice buttery crust on my muffins to a paper wrapper...do you?...
...so we had muffins and applesauce for breakfast...
...and Mom had brought me her old Princess House crystal teapot...so I got out one of my flowering tea balls...and made us a pot of tea to enjoy while we were chatting before she left...it was so pretty in the pot...and delicious...
...after Mom left I did a small grocery shop...
...nothing much of note...we did get another watermelon...and they had rice on sale for 3 lbs for $1...
...the first fresh green beans of the season...
...turned on the oven and made some cornbread muffins...
...and I also made some Brownie Bites...these are so yummy...and apparently I was all about the muffins this weekend...haha...

...and two of those Brownie Bites jumped right out of that pan before a photo could be taken...I wonder how that happened...hhhmmmmnnnn....
...but while the oven was on...I also made the Man a Devils Food Bundt cake...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. Looks like you had a nice visit! I tend to take advantage of a hot oven as well, usually doing more than one item - hate to waste all that energy! Love, K

I don't make muffins anymore. Don't know why. But now i'm craving for that, because you mentioned apple sauce! I'll do that this week!
These little corn bread are totally tempting!

    Enjoy!
