...11.16...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...well...I did fix the silky burgundy freebie...
...I used what I think is called the ladder stitch...you stitch back and forth like a ladder and then pull the thread to cinch up the hole...and you can use pretty much any colour of thread...because in the end it doesn't show at all...
...but you are left with a little bit of a pucker where you've cinched the hole closed...I'm hoping that there's enough drape that this won't be very visible...

...and probably Nanny's saying is true..."You'll never see that on a galloping horse"...haha...
...same fix and same little pucker at the placket...I'll try it on and try and take a better selfie...
...and the little two toned footsies are finished...but I probably won't be wearing them until next spring...generally preferring taller/warmer socks in the winter...right?...

...and there's a tiny sneak peak of this year's Christmas cards...fresh off the press...I'll start addressing those after Thanksgiving...

...what's in your workbasket this week?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. I must say it is so nice to be able to view your blog on my laptop again while running Norton!!! I do not like the mobile version of blogs. I knew you would make that top usable - looks good. I love that color. I've got a couple of sewing repairs to do "in my basket" (but much too large for a basket, haha). Just haven't gotten around to doing them yet....Love, K
