If anyone knows the proper way to make fruit leather (maybe Denise?) - please post and let me know.
I bought a pound of strawberries - frozen of course - this time of year...
put them in the blender and made a slushie...
Then I poured that on the funny little white sheet and put it in the dehydrator and turned it on - pretty simple - right...
That looks pretty doesn't it - so far so good...
Then when we tried to peel it off the sheet - it was stuck??? ARGHH.
But I was determined not to waste all those pretty strawberries so I scraped and scraped and scraped it off the sheet...
and the Man-Cub got some crinkly fruit roll ups - which tasted great anyway...
wow - i thought you were my perfect sister!! i didn't realize anything ever screwed up in your kitchen!

Well after the fact - I of course thought about spritzing with my handy dandy oil sprayer thingy - but the recipes we looked at online didn't say to do that - and I didn't want any oily taste on the rollups - I'll try it that way of course - they were delish anyway so it wasn't a total loss - it could have been worse - it could have been raining hahaha.

I have made fruit rollups from fresh strawberries and never had them stick. I suspect that yours had too much moisture but I'm sure they tasted just as good. E
