...Christmas Dinner and a Movie...

...first I'll share a little bit of Christmas...'cause my fam might like to see that...
...the stockings were filled so full that they couldn't remain hanging...
...and Santa left a bunch of gold wrapped pressies...
...which the kiddos tore into right away...
...the furry ones were oh-so-curious about everything...
...playing and seeking a lot of attention...
...but finally giving up completely...
...meanwhile...in the kitchen...ham seitan was steaming...
...and rolls were rising...
...just finished steaming...the WHam doesn't look all that wonderful...
...but...flipped over...
...and scored...
...studded with some cloves for decoration and flavor...
...and some pineapple added...he's ready for the oven...
...I used some dried shitakes to make a vegan mushroom soup for the green bean casserole...
...peeled and sliced some sweet potatoes...
...covered with brown sugar and dotted with Homemade Vegan Butter...
...I basted the WHam as it baked...
...and then...all at once (which is how it should be)...everything was ready...

...the WHam...
...the sweet potatoes...
...the green bean casserole...
...everything was on the table and...
...we were ready for a delicious Christmas feast...

...and we let the kiddos choose the movie...and they chose Bright...

...and that was (for me anyway)...a pretty stressful movie to watch...and I didn't already know the ending...which made it a lot more so...

...it's kind of a buddy-cop-Lord-of-the-Rings-smash-up-of-a-movie...it was good...

...what have you been eating and watching over the Christmas holiday?

~Have a lovely day!

  2. Vegan haggis and roast veg! We watched Plebs on Netflix and Taking Off by Milos Foreman on DVD. A memory from our early married days. Our son Neil and his fiancé also enjoyed it.
