...I have slowly been working on Purl Soho's Circular Yoke Summer Shirt...just a couple of rows a day...
...and...I should have listed among my presents the little tape measure that the Man gave me for my birthday...
...so the pattern says to unroll the sweater...(you know how stockinette stitch curls up)...and measure 5 1/2 inches...and start the decreases...
...BUT...I was reading ahead...and saw the instructions for finishing the hem...and you pick up and cast off those stitches...which seems crazy to me...as I would have FOR SURE used a provisional cast on for that...
...so I laboriously unraveled the first row from the start...and it was really tedious...think Kitchener stitch in reverse...so now those stitches are on another circular needle...and I'll go ahead and cast those off per the directions...
...what's in your workbasket?...

I'm really glad to see this project. I loved the pattern, but I don't know that I have the patience to work on that large of a project in that small a gauge. I know it will be lovely when it is finished. I did a WIP post (on Wednesday!) in my blog today, inspired by you.
ReplyDeleteHi Paula,
Delete...it's a really simple pattern so far...I'm just plugging along a few rows a day...I checked out your WIP post too...
