...as I neared the top of the bag...I left just a one stitch hole...(single crochet-chain one-skip one-single crochet)...because I wanted to make sure my knots didn't pull through the finished bag...
...then I threaded my homemade acrylic yarn rope through the holes and knotted the other end...
...and voilà...a finished ABSOLUTELY FREE beach bag...just in time...

Hey K,

That is one cool bag! Hottest chick on the beach.
ReplyDeleteThanks Maureen,
DeleteIt's a nice roomy and sturdy bag...and a good use of plastic bags...

Very clever. That is a really rad bag. And free, all the better!
ReplyDeleteInspired, in part by you, I took out my yellow plastic newspaper sleeves and cut them up and made some tarn...and I find working with it to be such. a. drag. Much harder than I remember it being with the plastic grocery bags. The newspapers are more slick/glossy...so maybe that is it. I'm trying to decide if I'm inclined to power on. It would be such a cute yellow bag. We shall see. I might just go back to the t-shirt yarn instead...
