...over the weekend...

...I did the shopping on Friday...
...and got lots of veggies...I'm looking forward to the steamed green beans and Foreman Grill fried squash the most...and our Hurricane prep told us that we needed to stock up on some canned goods...I don't think there's anything else very special in there...
...I did the shopping early because...early Saturday morning we were over at the Church to set up for our first annual Fall Fling...
...the bouncy houses were set up first ...in the shade...
...and a queue formed right away...
...there was a vintage ambulance...
...and he gave the kids rides...with the siren going...that was so much fun...
...there were firetrucks...the bomb squad...K-nine unit...and the trailer has sno cones...cotton candy and popcorn...

...inside there was a silent auction...lunch and lots of desserts...
...but most of the fun was outside...
...everyone thought it was a huge success and already they are talking about what they want to add for next year's Fall Fling...
...when we got home there was a box from Amazon on the doorstep...and I hadn't ordered anything...so I was surprised to find that the Man had ordered a new insulated house for Callie...
...it's super nice...and it has an escape-hatch-back-door...so she can't get cornered inside...

...it took us all of 15 minutes to assemble it...and the Man thoughtfully bought two 'space blanket' beds to put inside...they reflect body heaat...

...I'm going to put her food right in the doorway tonight and see if she'll eat it...if she does then I'll put it a little bit further inside each day...until she gets used to going inside...

~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

  1. I hope your dog likes the new house and that the insulated blankets keep her warm this winter. The fair looks like fun. I really like the vintage ambulance.

    1. Hi Penny,
...it's for our stray cat that stays outside...hopefully the insulated blankets will be enough to keep her warm...if it's really cold we can trap her on the porch but she yowls all night if we do...the ambulance was so much fun...I loved seeing it in action and hearing the old timey siren...it sure was a treat for the kids...
