...we celebrated Father's Day over the weekend...first with Our Sweet Airman...because he's a half day ahead of us...
...he's such a wonderful Daddy...
...so we had a nice long FaceTime with him...and Big Sissie really wanted to have the phone and show us her playing ball with her Daddy...and so he gave her the phone and she set it up so that we could clearly see...the ceiling...haha...so Our Airman moved it so that we could actually see the action...and she immediately came and repositioned the phone so that we could see the ceiling again...haha...so then the game began...and while she was chasing the ball...he reached back and surreptitiously repositioned the phone again...and we got to watch them play ball with her pink ball...it was fun...
...this time apart would be so much more difficult without FaceTime...so I'm really thankful for that...
...here's a couple of pics of our growing granddaughters...Big Sissie...
...and Little Sissie...they are so very sweet...
...and then Sunday moring (EST: UTC−05:00)...haha...we celebrated Father's Day with Our Airman's Papa...he got a card, some books (both politcally themed - pretty much all he reads anymore - trying to make sense of it all I guess...instead of trying to ignore it like I do...haha)...and a new vegan chami and some work rags for his car...
...and the funny thing about the I hate republicans book...if you turn it over it says I hate democrats...haha...
...and then he opened the presents from the kiddos...and grand-kiddos...
...I love this shirt...Papa...like a grandpa only cooler...haha...Our Airman called the Man 'Papa'...not Daddy...and so it was an easy transition for him to also be Papa to the grands...haha...
...and he got another book...and some cute socks...
...that's a lie...you can tell because of the snoring sounds...haha...
...the only other vaguely interesting thing from the weekend...I got a big 5+ lbs of overripe bananas for $1...I love it when they have these bags...and I also love it that they don't just throw them away...they're still perfect for smoothies...and banana bread...I just peel them and freeze them...and we always have nice sweet overripe bananas when we need them...for just a few pennies each...
...oh...and this happened...we had some really windy thunderstorms...and a few dead pine trees blew over in the woods behind our house...but there is a positive side to it...it's so much cooler now...haha

Hooray for the loving and amazing fathers in your life! And hooray for videochatting, too! It is such a wonderful tool for keeping families connected.

So sweet, of course the Airman is a great father! I'm jealous of the over ripe banana score! Love, K
ReplyDeleteSo cute! These kids are adorable! Yes; facetime changes everything when we are separated. I can tell you! We had bad storms up here too. The planet is really angry ;-(
