...I hope this won't be too confusing as you'll sometimes see parts of a finished project that I haven't yet posted about in a current one...like the blue ceiling and ceiling fan here on the back porch...
...but this week...we hung up the little party lights all around the back porch...
...they're so cute...
...and cheerful at night...
...it will be so nice to sit out here in the spring and fall...and maybe sometimes in the summer too...if it's not too hot...haha...
...now back to the past...before we moved...there was no refrigerator...not sure why...and I wanted a white one...which is apparently just not a thing that people want anymore...haha...it had to be special ordered...
...but we got one...
...and it barely fits through the door...
...but there it is...nice and big and white...
...the Man installed the new Nest thermostats...
...that allowed us to set/change the settings while we were away...which was a lot of the time...
...pretty and colourful setup...
...and I washed the garage windows...
...and then covered them up with insulation on the inside...
...we're using two layers...
...this shiny silver reflective one first...
...to hopefully reflect some of the summer heat...
...and then this poufy fiberglass one on top of that...
...it has a white plastic coating which helps to hold it in place...
...and you stick these little clips onto the door...or in our case onto the silver lining we already installed...
...and then cut the bats of insulation to fit into the individual bays...
...we have a double garage door...
... so some of the panels don't have an area to tuck into...
...so I got some white duct tape and taped those to the splines...
~Have a lovely day!

we had to take the fridge doors off and the back door off the hinges to squeak in our fridge. Crazy!
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of insulation! I know it gets hot down there so will be a good thing. Love, K
