...I finished Mom's teal hat...I had to switch to dpns for the crown decreases...
...it's the Cashmere Chemo Hat...
...it turned out really pretty...and it's a gorgeous jewel toned yarn...it's just hard to capture the colour in a photo very well...
...and I can finally show you Our Airman's Wife's little Birthday gifties...even though her birthday was in January...because although it was mailed well over a MONTH ago...it only arrived at their house yesterday...we had to put multiple traces on the tracking number...and USPS just kept updating with moving through network...haha...
...y'all have already seen the Emotional Support Chicken that I knit for her...
...and then I did a quick little re-furb of this pillow...that I found in the Food Lion parking lot on a very wet day last summer...haha...I know you're thinking how nice of me to give my sweet DIL a pillow I found soaking wet and dirty in a parking lot...hahaha...I'm just all nice like that HAHAHA...
...but when I saw it I thought it had a cute bo-ho vibe that she would love...
...this is the somewhat faded back...but the zipper still worked perfectly...and I discarded the stuffing and gave it a good hot wash...
...but you can see that it only has three tassels...and a couple of them are loose/separting...and the little white bead is an odd shape...so I can't just use a white pony bead for it...
...so of course I'm going to try and make one that looks more like the originals...I'm using the little white plastic tab from a soymilk carton...
...I punched a hole in the middle and made an aluminum foil mold...
...and then using the iron...I melted the plastic around the spindle...
...and I ended up with a little white tubular bead that matches the original ones pretty well...
...I know all of that was kind of hard to see...
...then I just tried to match the royal blue thread and made a new tassel and pulled it through the new bead...not a perfect match but it's close...
...then I neatened up the other tassels that had lost their wrapping so they could separate and the bead could fall off...
...so I just took a needle and thread and wrapped around the base of each bead and then pulled it back up through the bead and tied it off...and trimmed any uneven ends...
...and now it looks much much better...
...but I still have to stuff it...so I took some leftover quilting material and made a liner...
...turned the pillow inside out and used it as a pattern to basically make the liner exactly the same size as the pillow...
...stitched up the liner and stuffed it...
...and put it back in the pillow cover...
...it looks nice on our new green sofa too...
...and the Airman's Wife sent us a photo of it in its new Alaska home...
...and the said the grandbabes had stolen her chicken and gave it some chicks and put it in their dollhouse...
...oh...and they named 'him' Berry...
...what's in your workbasket this week?...
~Have a lovely day!

I love each and every one of your makes. It's cute that the grand babes stole the chicken, lol.
