...a hairy adventure...

...This was my hair Thursday morning...it's not really curly...I just decided to curl it one last time before I cut it all off...

...and this is my hair now...

This is the eleventh time that I've donated over 10 inches of hair...(my hair grows really fast - it takes about 2 years for me to grow 12 inches of hair)...but all the previous times I've donated to Locks of Love...

...here's my chopped off ponytail...

...and here it is braided and ready to go...

This time at the recommendation of Amanda at Newman Improved I'm donating to Children with Hairloss...Thanks Amanda!

  2. I have been thinking of cutting my hair[now almost to my waist again] and I love the idea of donating for children. I love your cut, so very classic! Have a beautiful weekend.xx

  3. Locks of Love has received so much criticism for selling the donated hair instead of giving it. Kind of broke my heart to read that they rarely donate wigs to the children I always assumed were getting them and that LoL is not the generous company I'd always thought. On a more positive note, good for you! Your hair is lovely and regardless who buys that wig, it will be stunning, {While it is true that only 3% of children who have LoL wigs have cancer, a stunning 90% of the children who have LoL wigs have alopecia. Your hair will be beloved for a very long time.} What a big heart you have. Beautiful post!

  6. Awesome job! I've donated mine three times and I made a goal to donate again at least 3 times because I heard it usually takes 6 ponytails to craft one wig. It's so inspiring to see that you've donated 11 times.

  7. WOW. Wow. Why have I never considered this with my super dark, fast-growing hair? I can't even begin to imagine how heavy my hair would be if I let it get that long, but hmm...you have inspired me...
