...first thing Saturday morning...the Man fixed our leaky kitchen faucet...so thankful to always have a handyman around the house...
...then I did the weekly shop...absolutely nothing of note...except maybe I'm thankful that things like carrots that I couldn't get at the beginning of the pandemic are now available every time I go to the store...
...then afternoon...I headed here...
...to pick up this precious cargo...and her mama...they made a quick flight home (here) to surprise her family and celebrate her grandfather's birthday...
...here she is 'mugging' with Grandmommy...
...and getting reacquainted with Grandmommy's house...
...she kept pointing to the picture of her Daddy and saying 'dadadada'...so sweet...
...have I mentioned that she is now WALKING!!!
...three quick photos in succession...
...of our Girl in action...
...and playing (gently) with Kitten...
...we got some Grandmommy's House toys for her to play with...the backpack belonged to Our Airman when he was little and he used to carry it to pre-school...and it's now full of blocks...and the Halloween bucket is full of alphabet blocks...also played with by Our Airman...but they are hand-me-downs from one of his cousins...and the things on the right are all toys that I got just for Our Girl...and they all make noise...because you should be able to make all the noise you want at Grandmommy's house...the little baby doll cries and coos and says mama and dada and laughs out loud...it's really sweet...and the Po doll (Our Airman's favorite when he was about her age) talks too...he/she just says several little Po phrases...and the princess book has a wand that you move over the pages and it makes different sounds...she loved that one...and the Thomas book has prompts for when to press the little buttons on the side to hear an appropriate sound...
...Sunday...we went to Church...Our Girl is so good...here she is playing with my watch...
...showing off (from a distance) after Church...
...and practicing walking barefoot on concrete...so many new textures...
...and you didn't think we'd go a weekend without any gifted garden produce did you?...these tomatoes were on the back porch...I'm so looking forward to some "fried" green tomatoes...I'll be making them on the Foreman Grill so they won't actually be 'fried'...
...and a nice full bag of fresh okra...
...we are so blessed...
