...I got a project out that has been languishing for a while...
...I don't think y'all have seen it since I first started the afghan
...I have worked on it since then...but I don't think I've posted about it...
...so this is how it looked when I resurrected it...
...all of the pieces that were knit or crocheted by the young man's great-grandmother have been incorporated into the 'body' of the afghan...
...and I had collected granny squares from the other N.O.A.H. members to complete the border...I didn't have quite enough...so I had to make 4 more to complete the edge...
...and I got those all laid out and in order...sort of mirroring each side and end...I had requested that each person make two of their square...
...and got those all stitched in place and all the ends tucked in neatly...now all that's left is to embroider the young man's name in duplicate stitch in that blank area at the top...
...in other knitting news...
...I did go back and do a row of slip stitch crochet around the top of the footlets...so I guess that's technically in crochet news...but the footlets are knit...
...it just neatens up that edge a bit...and ensures that the join at the center top front is reinforced a bit...
...and it firms up the fit a bit too...I'm really happy with these...I may make anothe pair...
...and in other crochet news...
...I'm a little over half-way through with the Happy Fall Y'all Porch Pillow...you can hop over to The Porch Pillow Project for all the particulars on that...
...what's in your workbasket?
~Have a lovely day!
