Don't just do nothing...

As we are all shocked and saddened by the recent earthquake in Haiti and hurting for everyone who is hurting there - remember that we can do something to help even if we are so far away...

There are lots of organizations out there helping right now... do something...

-- Lutheran World Relief, based in Baltimore, Md., is accepting donations for its Haiti earthquake fund. Donations can be made by phone at (800) LWR-LWR2, online at, or by mailing a check or money order to Lutheran World Relief Haiti Earthquake Relief, PO Box 17061, Baltimore, Md., 21298-9832.

Lutheran World Relief amount is too small...

...edited to add - as my sister wisely pointed out - on the website there is a matching gifts button - to see if your employer will match your gift.

  1. hey! good idea! i have contributed - tell everyone to click on the "Match Your Gift" link - i did and found that IBM will match gifts $1 for $1. you do appear to have to mail a check with a form instead of being able to do it online.

    love, k

  2. Thanks for including this info. for donations - we'll be making one through the Red Cross.

My heart goes out to all who were affected by this tragedy.

  3. I'm grateful to know that aid agencies in NA are receiving very generous donations from people to help with the catastrophe in Haiti.

Canadians can donate $5.00 to the Haiti Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund by texting Haiti to 45678.

Americans can donate by texting a message with the word 'Haiti' to 52000 for a $10 donation.

Thank you for posting an appeal on your blog. I will add some information to my blog as well.
