...Yesterday was that day...
...after Church - we loaded up all the kids - gave each of them an envelope with $50 and an anonymous code number for their child...(the project is funded by donations from the Congregation)
...and went shopping...
...the kids always have so much fun with this project...
...they love picking out just the right present for the child on their envelope...
...then we all met back at the brand new fellowship hall...shhh!...we're not supposed to be using it yet as the final walk-thru has not been done yet...
...but it was such a nice-big-open-bright-new space that we just couldn't resist...
...then the kids carried all their presents in to the Christmon Tree in the sanctuary...they'll deliver them after the Christmas Program on the 19th...
...does your Church involve the children in a 'giving' project for Christmas?...
My children's birthdays all fall just before Christmas so in the past I have had them donate new gifts that they receive for their birthday if it is very similar or the same as something else they have in the past. I am trying to think of more ways to get them involved in helping people less fortunate than themselves. This is a great idea!

That is a great idea! No, they don't do any Christmas gift thing like this. I'll have to share this.
