...the crippled doe's fawn...

...her leg was badly broken when we saw her last...really just sort of dangling there below her knee...she was with this buck last fall...and I didn't take a photo or talk about her then...because we didn't think that she would survive the winter...

...well...she did...and she has this handsome fawn following her around now...her leg is really really crooked below the knee...and she has a terrible limp...and she hardly puts any weight on that front leg...

...but that's nature for you...and she's lucky she lives in our neighborhood...it's a fairly safe place for deer...
