...the storm cleanup continues...this tree is still down on the power lines where I ride my bike...
...we looked out the kitchen window this morning and saw this for the first time...
...it's so pretty...
...we almost pulled them up as they just never bloomed...and here we are in October with the first blooms after babying the Morning Glories all through the long hot summer...
...I remember Nanny's morning glories blooming when we were walking up to catch the school bus past her house in the early fall...but I guess I thought they'd been blooming all summer and I just didn't notice them...
...the blooms only last through the day...and they curl up like this in the evening...
...now back to the house update...
...we put everything back into the upper cabinets...
...and reinstalled all of the newly painted doors...
...even just having one fourth of the cabinets white really brightens up the kitchen...
...it looks nice from this angle...
...so then we took all the doors off of the lower cabinets...
...hoping to leave most things in place this time during the painting...the uppers have to be emptied anyway because we have to be able to attach the crown moulding from the underside...
...without the faces on the drawers though...there's no way to open them...so I made us some 'handles' with some yarn...haha...
...and the first coat (primer) is done...3 more to go...
