...now that the unicorn is finished and with Halloween looming large on the horizon...I thought I'd better make my girlies some cute little Halloween themed headbands...pretty soon they'll have a 'set' with one for every holiday...haha...
...so I gathered some yarn in Halloween-y colours...orange, black and purple...
...the first thing I made were two bats in the shiny black yarn...to put in the center of the bands...
...then I made four jack-O-lanterns to go one on each side of the bat...and I thought about making a white ghost too...but realized that the headband probably isn't big enough for that...
...then three bands for each headband...one of each colour...
...two little green french knot eyes for the bats...
...and then to make sure they stay snug on their little heads...I knotted the ends of the chains into a section of elastic...
...wove the ends in and single crocheted around the elastic with the black...
...then I centered a bat at the top of each band...
...stitched it in place and added a pumpkin on either side...
...and two super cute Halloween headbands were born...
...they're already on their way to Alaska...
...what's in your workbasket this week?...
~Have a lovely day!
