...10.16...Friday Update...

...I was chatting with my sweet sissie on the phone in the midst of this little project...and I promised to do a post so she could see the results...

...y'all know how there's a space behind an open door...well...in our laundry room (which is also my craft room)...I wanted to use that space to store the actual laundry supplies...out of sight...but we have a floor vent behind that door as well...you can see it pretty well in this post about the completion of the tile floor...

...so I couldn't just set the detergent etc. on the floor because it would block the vent...so I took some quick measurements and made a little shelf to sit over the vent and hold those items...

...painted it white and popped it in place and topped it with the laundry cleaning goods...

...it gives the vent plenty of clearance...and in this photo you can see how I neatly coped around the quarter-round...so the shelf could sit right up against the baseboard...

...and with the door open you can't see the laundry products at all...
