...Changing White Roses to Blue(ish)...
...Scout had the idea of giving his girlfriend blue roses for Valentine's Day...her favorite colour...and apparently remembering how we had changed some daffodil's colours in North Dakota when he was little...
...he filled up a vase with water and an entire bottle of blue food colouring...and left the roses overnight...
...and you can see the slight blue tinge to the white roses...
...maybe if we'd had longer to leave them in the blue water...they would have been more uniformly blue...
...still...they are pretty...
...and Scout was happy with the way they turned out...
...and I guess...more importantly...she was thrilled with her blue tinged roses...
