...this is another frugal find from last fall...
...I got these sandals at Stuff-Mart for $1 at an end of summer sale last year...and I stuck them in the closet and kinda forgot about them...
...but I got them out and started wearing them around the house just to break them in a bit...and they don't stay on too well...
...so I thought I'd remedy that with a simple crocheted strap...which took about 14 minutes...haha...
...and although they look like they are white-white...when you crochet with white crochet thread...you can see that they are not in fact quite white...
...so using my experience dying with coffee...I made some rather weak tea...as I only want to 'take the edge off' of the white thread...and dipped just the new strap into that...and let it dry...
...and now they are perfect...
...what's in your workbasket?...

How nice they turned out! They look comfy. Love, Karen
ReplyDeleteHey K,
DeleteI think they will be perfect for wearing with that white skirt the kiddos gave me for my birthday...and your purple top...
Love,
T
Those are great little slippers for a dollar and I like your solution to making them fit.
ReplyDeleteThanks Penny,
DeleteI would have probably worn them without the strap...but I had visions of them flying off in the sanctuary at Church...so thought I'd better 'fix' them up...
