...5.25...New Mexico...Day 3...

...we started the day with breakfast outside...the weather was perfect...

...we ordered inside and then sat outside and they brought the food to us...everything was so...quirky...

...not much was vegan here...but I got this delicious rosemary focacia...delicious...

...cute sign outside...

...and then we went for a long meandering walk through the neighborhood...

...I think absolutely everything is in bloom here...

...the cacti...

...are all blooming...

...and there are lots of varieties of cactus here...

...the bushes are blooming too...

...from a distance up the street...this looked like a real horse...but was we got closer you could see that it was made of metal...but look how lush and pretty the yard is...

...yucca...Mom used to grow this in North Carolina by the mailboxes...

...a pretty gate and entryway...absolutely every single house has an elaborate fence of some kind...

...pretty pink flowers...but this may actually be a weed...

...another interesting fence...this one of stained glass...all of the yards were this pretty and well kept...

...roses were everywhere...

...and so were roadrunners...

...so fun to see them...they're not afraid of people here...

...our Airman had class...so we met him for a quick lunch...you know to soak up every single minute we could with him...

...I got a veggie Whopper...you just have to ask them to make it vegan so they don't run it through their grill with the regular burgers...and no mayo of course...

...I got extra pickles...also...of course...

...it was really delicious...

...Our Airman had a whole list of restaurants that he'd been 'missing'...so we're trying to include them all this week...

...this one had a 20 minute wait...but that was fine with us...the weather is so nice we waited outside...

...and I got a nice salad and baked potato...
