...Dinner and a Movie...

...we had the kiddos for dinner...which gets more and more rare it seems...

...so we went all out...the Man had spent hours on his French lima bean cassoulet...it was delicious...I made oven fries...crusty French bread and carrots in the Instant Pot to go with it...and sliced some fresh cucumber...

...so that was a fun family meal...

...and we let the kids choose the movie...Stripes...it was good...campy...predictable and fun...just an 80's movie...

...what have you been watching lately?...

~Have a lovely day!

  1. I love the china. Is it Blue Willow? I can't quite tell. Your dinner looks delicious and it's so nice the kids could join you. I know how rare that can be (for me and others with young people in our lives).

    1. Hi Penny,
It's not Blue Willow...I have one cherished dish of that from my Great Grandmother though...this is the 'china' that I grew up eating from...it was a grocery store promotion for 1976 - the American Bicentennial so each dish has a different patriotic scene on it...

  2. Oh I forgot to mention, I tried watching Murder on the Orient Express (new one with Kenneth Branaugh and many other well known actors). But I couldn't get into it. It was late and the volume needed to be louder to hear everything. I'm going tonight to theatre to see what is probably the last showing of the movie RBG. It should be interesting.

I can see now that your china is not Blue Willow but it looks like a historic print that one might find on toile du jouy fabric.
