...and one rainy day at the beach...
...every beach vacation has one...right?...
...a soggy view...
...so we entertained ourselves by going out for lunch...
...and a rainy beach walk in the afternoon...the temperatures were still mild...
...Jack's cute little plaid jacket is reversible to this raincoat...you can see he's squinting because of the rain...
...another deserted beach...that's the tagalong sweethearts lagging behind us again...
...we were only walking up to the pier...about a mile from the cottage...
...underneath the pier...
...we're on the pier...and the kiddos still haven't caught up...
...stormy waves...
...kiddos on the pier...they finally caught up...
...we watched the birds fighting the wind...
...the stormy skies...the weatherman had predicted thunder...but we didn't hear any...maybe you can't hear it over the wind and the waves though...
...the skies were clearing as we walked back to the cottage...you can see some blue peeking through...
...Jack found his favorite spot when we got back...
...and we played a game of Phase 10...that list of phases card marked with the "Blue 9" is from a North Dakota camping trip where we lost one of the Blue 9's...we later found it so it's just a phase card again...haha...

Nice cozy looking day!! The game reminds me of our flying trip to ND and playing Phase 10 for the first time with you guys. Scout was a little guy then! Love, K
ReplyDeleteWe have a saying 'love's young dream and a bag of chips'! Chips being french fries. If you buy chips from the 'chip' shop they come in a bag with a cushion of paper to hold it and a little wooden fork. It was newspaper when I was a child.
