...Mom had told me when we got there that she had several little jobs she wanted me to do while I was there...and we started by moving and reconfiguring her printer/fax/phone setup in the den...but I didn't take a photo of that...and Mom took this one of me doing the second little job which was to add some hooks to the side of her cabinet to move a couple of things off of her pegboard to make more room for the lovely new pots and pans that she got for Christmas...
...the third job was to put the film over the picture window...all of the other windows are storm windows...but this one is just a single pane of glass so it gets pretty chilly...so I cleaned the window inside and out...so that it would be perfectly clear...
...my nephew came for a visit and he helped with the stretching too...and Mom (and my nephew and both kiddos too) used the hair dryer to shrink the film ...
...for a perfectly clear fit...
...and while we were 'at it'...I took all of the blinds down and gave them a good scrub...
...and back in place all nice and clean...
...and late in the day...we started the fourth little job...Mom wanted to organize her refrigerator like mine...so we took everything out...
...and I had brought several empty cartons to make the trays...
...and everything is back in place and there's definitely more room than before...
...and then we closed the blinds and finally sat down for the first time...haha...and we started watching a new series...Severance...it's pretty weird...we'll probably continue for a couple of episodes and see...
...the next morning...
...watching the birds...
...I ate about 6 meals...but apparently only photographed two of them...this breakfast...
...and a delicious sandwich for lunch...
...we'll be heading back down south to get ready for another snow storm here in a little bit...
~Wishing you a lovely start to your week!

So glad you got to visit! And I’m sure Mom really appreciates all the chores y’all did for her. I can’t believe that is her refrigerator! Very organized! Love,K
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you were able to help you mom so many small jobs. I know it makes a huge difference to have them done. I like how you organized the kitchen refrigerator. I don't buy things in those kinds of containers but maybe I can keep a lookout for similar ones so I can give this idea a try. I love containerizing things but prefer not to pay for containers.
ReplyDeleteyou are so helpful when you visit!
