...the Morning Glories have finally bloomed...
...almost a month later than last year...but they are gorgeous...
...and the ever-blooming rose is blooming again..it's covered with buds...
...and the Mandevilla in the hanging pot that Mom gave us two years ago is still showing off too...
...still getting a good amount of rattlesnake beans and a few summer squash...but the squash are winding down...
...I picked the outer leaves of the Napa Cabbage...it's supposed to encourage them to make heads...
...but instead of the Forks over Knives Napa Cabbage Salad that I usually make with the leaves...
...I'm just sautéing them in some vegan butter as there's really only enough for one serving...
...and it's a small one at that...
...in other harvest news...we're still pulling up green onions whenever we want them...and then I just replant the white root portion and it grows back...I've been using the same half dozen or so grocery store green onions this way for months now...so I count them as 'free'...haha...
...I only have a few french breakfast radishes left so they'll all be gone in a week or so...
...and the baby greens on the back porch have gotten big enough to need to be thinned...
...so I pull up all of those and left the best ones...
...and like with the Napa Cabbage I could have cooked them up to make a small portion...but I decided to just try replanting them in the winter garden...if they make it 'bonus'...and if not...no real loss...
...the Man's pumpkin is still thriving...
...he put it up off the ground on a few rocks...
...and his Fish Peppers are ripening...they should turn bright red soon...
...and they have such pretty variegated foliage...
...a few baby squash...still too small to harvest yet...but soon...
...another green bean harvest...and a couple that I 'missed'...
...and the Rattlesnake beans are definitely winding down for the year...but it's been a good run...
...we decided to move the little sidewalk pumpkin lights around to the back yard...
...we won't get any Trick-or-Treaters in the back...they're just to make us and our neighbors smile when we walk by...
~Have a lovely weekend!
