...still have things I can't show you yet...but I'm waiting on Easter Cards for my girlies...and then I'll ship their Easter goodies...and then I'll show you those...and progress continues on the little grey B-day present for Little Sissie...
...but I can show you the progress on the Easter Sweater...it's the Pierrot Bobble Sleeved Sweater...and here you can see the little dart seams up the back...this is my first time doing the darts out in the middle of the sweater...usually the decreases are done at each side...or if you're knitting in the round they're just sort of evenly spaced around...
...but this is a Japanese pattern...so there are NO real directions...
...and you can clearly see the seams in the cover photo...
...but the diagram doesn't say to knit each panel separately...which is what you need to do...I'm guessing that the little blank diamond in the middle means that there is 'air' there...otherwise there'd just be little 'divots' where you'd done the decreases and no real dart or seam...I'll make sure I take a photo of the three little panels when I do the front because it will be the same...just a little bit shorter and wider according to the chart...
...what's in your workbasket this week?...

I hadn't noticed the darts. That should be a nice fit to your curves! Love, K
ReplyDeleteHey K,
Delete...haha...curves...it's a different technique for me for sure...I'm almost finished with the back now...as I've set a 'goal' to knit 30 rows a day...haha...
Love,

Ooh, beautiful color on that Easter sweater! So cheerful. I'm putting together a log cabin blanket. I have a few other projects I want to try after that, including socks and some lightweight produce bags. We'll see how long this log cabin blanket takes to finish! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Stephanie,
Delete...I do like the bright pink...but I had wished that I had the mauve-y rose that's in the cover photo...but I don't really have anything to wear with that colour...and I have a floral skirt that will be perfect with this fuschia colour...I like your log cabin afghan a lot...I think I want to make one like it using up some stash...
