...3.9...W.I.P. Wednesday...

...so I did swatch...couldn't quite get gauge exactly...but by my calculations my sweater should be a tiny bit larger...1/2 of a stitch...so I think I'm ok with that...

...not sure if you've ever worked with a Japanese pattern before...but you pretty much get a diagram and a gauge...and that's it...haha...
...so the first thing was this hem...you do a provisional cast-on...and then you transfer the cast on stitches to a needle...
... and then you fold and knit together from both needles at once...

...for me anyway...it's very tedious...and I don't enjoy it...haha...but it's just one row...
...you're knitting...so of course the stitch comes off with a little bump or ridge on the back or underside...
...and it's an open tube at the end...
...but still...it's only one row...haha...so no matter how tedious it is...it's done...

...I've got a couple of finished projects that I still can't show you yet...they're for Easter...but I've started a new small crochet project for Little Sissie's birthday...

    I love the color of the sweater! Lately I've really gotten into brighter colors. I spent so many years in my dark company polo shirts, that was kindof my "style". Now I wear pink and red with abandon. Love, K

      ...I know...I've seen you in pretty pinks and bright blues and greens and they look super on you...but I remember when you were little Mom always tried to stay away from red and pink especially...but remember green was her favorite colour...so she was probably happy to dress you in that...and it looks good on you to...

      ...I've been knitting since I was about 8...so I've had lots of practice...haha...I'm not sure why but I've never really had a problem with it...so I guess I was blessed with good tension...haha...
