...to Beth from BLD IN MT : LIVING A SIMPLE LIFE IN THIS INTERCONNECTED WORLD...Hi Beth...Wthat was so fascinating about the Blue Jays...I didn't know that about the juveniles and I've never seen one...I'll definitely make a note in my birding journal if I do...and the concert with Hannah looks like great fun!...

...on the reading front...I've just started Sketches by Boz...a collection of short stories...really not what I would call short stories but little descriptive vignettes...and like I was afraid it's only available to me as an ebook...oh well...

...dinner involved a special trip to the grocery store...which almost never happens...but the Man asked if I would run out and pick up a few things...because he wanted to make an authentic pozole soup...

...so I got the beans and hominy that he requested...and I also got a cucumber and a red onion (do you say red or purple for this type of onion?) for another recipe I want to try...and then I happened to remember that we needed bran flakes and noodles...the Man eats those on his salad...I almost never eat them...but they were such a favorite of Jack-Jack...it's a sweet little memory of him...

...and then I saw this Violife cream cheese in a box instead of a plastic tub...so I got that too...I actually do need some...

...the Man made the delicious soup...

...and we had it with cornbread, chips and salsa...

...and for the movie...we finished up the Our Mutual Friend miniseries...it was really really good...
