...5.20...What I Ate in a Day...as a Vegan...

...I wanted to try out the "Just Egg"...as well...just egg...for breakfast...so I measured out the 3 Tablespoon serving...
...and scrambled it up...the Man said he liked the smell a lot better than when I sprinkle Kala Namak (black sulphur-y salt) onto tofu...so that was funny...they do have a little bit of an egg-y smell...
...and I must say it's remarkably egg-like...
...the texture is spot on...
...the flavor...I'm not so sure about...as it's been a long long long time since I've eaten eggs...and they weren't like my favorite thing anyway...but...Just Egg is very good...it made a really good breakfast...I'd recommend it...
...then for a mid-morning snack...I had a small bowl of vegan (tofu) yogurt with some bran flakes mixed it...it's so good...it's like eating a pie or something dessert-y...
...then for lunch...I had a leftover field roast sausage with some sauerkraut and some leftover mashed potatoes and peas...so now you know what we had for supper the night before...haha...
...afternoon snack...was just some of those adorable little peppers and some cucumber...and I also had some vegan ranch dip with them...but it's not in the picture...and lemonade...
...then for dinner I was using up some more leftovers...the mushrooms were leftover from a Julia Child recipe and frozen...so I added them to some leftover rice...and the cauliflower soup was also leftover from a recipe Our Airman sent us that he had tried and liked...it was good too...and to round things out...I had some baked tofu cubes with A1 sauce and a salad with balsamic dressing...

  1. A1 sauce!!!! I haven't seen this in decades!!!!! My mother used to buy some. I'll see if i can find it.

    Looking forward to find this Just Egg; i only had the already prepared one (folded...like a square omelette). Didn't like firt, but the second time (in a sandwich) i really enjoyed every bite!

    Yesterday i made brocoli soup, a mix of red cabbage and tofu, and asparagus toasts.

      ...yeah...it's kind of funny that almost all of the steak sauces are vegan...and make pretty good "tofu sauces" as well...haha...
